El origen dinámico de las simetrías espacio-temporales

El objetivo central de este trabajo es presentar una propuesta acerca de la conexión entre la cronogeometría y las simetrías dinámicas en las teorías espaciotemporales, que explora una tercera vía alternativa a las propuestas dominantes en la discusión reciente, a saber, los enfoques geométrico y dinámico. Esta propuesta puede entenderse, de manera equivalente, como la articulación de una noción de simetría espaciotemporal dinámicamente constituida.
Para explorar esta posibilidad, se adopta como marco general la idea de que la determinación del espacio físico está dada por principios que imponen la comparabilidad de las cantidades físicas. A partir de la noción de congruencia — central en las formulaciones del problema del espacio desarrollados por Helmholtz y Weyl —, el trabajo la vincula con ciertas condiciones derivadas del requisito de que las cantidades sean determinadas por subsistemas que funcionan como aparatos de medida, y señala las consecuencias que ello tiene para la caracterización de la relación entre simetrías espaciotemporales y simetrías dinámicas. Por el camino, se propone una estrategia para interpretar los principios que Weyl, en su formulación del problema del espacio, califica como sintéticos.
