Abstract

We have already commemorated the 50 years of civilian-military coup in Chile: that is a date which generated several expectatives as a relevant milestone in the social and political history in our country. Despite all of said and written, it is not yet possible to find an agreed explanation about the causes which flow into the violent breakdown of our democracy. Even more, after half century, the hatred seem rekindle between extreme political spheres. In this essay, I ask myself about the path for the democratic peace and convivence in this challenging XXI century.
