Evolución y Análisis de las Partidas de Gasto Público en España. Periodo 1996-2015

Abstract

The objective of this article is to show the evolution of government expenditure items in Spain through a descriptive, exploratory and comparative study based on temporary factors: political party and phase of the economic cycle. The data were collected from 1996 to 2015. Thus a more complete picture of the evolution of spending on government expenditure items and welfare, before Spain joined the Euro zone, during the economic crisis until the current period, is achieved. Items studied: public expenditure, housing, education, health, pensions, unemployment protection, promotion of employment, social services and other economic benefits.
