Resumo

A entrevista foi usada para coletar informações de pesquisadores de várias disciplinas e usando diferentes métodos e tecnologias para isso. Este artigo revisa os principais problemas associados à entrevista no contexto do surgimento da história oral, tanto na perspectiva de sua criação e preservação, quanto de seu uso quando integrado a um arquivo acessível ao público. Conclui que, se inicialmente os principais desafios para arquivistas e historiadores estavam na metodologia e na relevância da entrevista como meio e produto, nas últimas décadas eles se concentraram em aspectos éticos e legais.
