Abstract

The thing of Popular Unity did good was no less than to conduct, with calm stength, the unfolded phase of the extraordinary heroic deed of people that the history will name the Chilean Revolution. In this essay, I aim to account for both the making of Popular Unity government and the process of imposed with bloodshed and fire restoration by the military dictatorship and its continuity after the end of this in 1990. The transition to modernity is not outstanding in the Chilean case: thus, that is marked by great revolutions followed by atrocious defeats.
