Dossier

The journal Arboles y Rizomas periodically calls for submissions through the OJS platform and digital media for the presentation of Thematic Dossier proposals, which must contain the following information:

  1. Propose a topic that fits the focus and scope of the journal.
  2. Elaborate the call for papers, in Spanish, English and Portuguese, identifying in a summarized, clear and concise manner the objectives of the dossier.
  3. Include the titles and authors of at least 5 articles from different countries, in Spanish, English or Portuguese.
  4. Ensure gender parity of authors.
  5. Dossier editors, maximum of three, should send their CV and may have different academic affiliations.

The editorial committee will evaluate the proposals according to the thematic relevance, ensuring that they are aligned with the focus and scope of the journal. Based on this evaluation, it will communicate its decision to the interested parties.

Dossier editors will work in collaboration with the editorial team and will be responsible for the following specific tasks:

  1. Publicize the dossier.
  2. Select potential evaluators knowledgeable in the topics of the dossier, who will use the ad-hoc evaluation guideline. [Evaluation rubric].
  3. Do the preliminary review of each text prior to the reviews that will be carried out by two external evaluators.
  4. Communicate to invited authors that all papers received in the journal must conform to the publication guidelines and that they will be submitted to a blind peer review process.
  5. Write the presentation of the dossier, focusing on the state of the art of the topic addressed, and the contributions of each of the articles.
  6. Participate in the launching of the issue that includes the dossier.
