Abstract

The present investigation has as objective to know the existing gender gaps in higher education in Chile, showing the current panorama in the relationship of men and women who perform academic tasks contracted in Chilean universities. The results show that today women represent 42.5% of the labor force, with the same number of hours on average contracted and younger than men, showing a significant gender gap.
