Minimum standards

Políticas Públicas considers, in its acceptation and publication processes, in an essential way, the strict compliance with transparency, the aperture and observance in matters of intellectual property protection. In this sense, our journal exercises its right and is governed by the declared objectives of World Intellectual Property Organization (1967/1989) in its article 3, i.e.:

To promote the protection of intellectual property throughout the world through cooperation among States and, where appropriate, in collaboration with any other international organization.

Likewise, Políticas Públicas will seek to ensure the development of good and right practices on the part of authors in order to protect the confidence of disciplinary community and journal image. For this, our journal will adhere to these precepts and recommendations:

  • About Intellectual Property. Besides observing the rules and standards from the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, our journal will take into account the Chilean Law N°17.336 about Intellectual Property.
  • About Data Processing. Besides the duties and recommendations by the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (Santiago of Chile University), our journal will regard the COPE* guidelines about the data rigour before and after of publication.
  • About Texts Recycling. Besides the duties and recommendations by the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (Santiago of Chile University), our journal will consider advice and guidelines from the TRRP** in matters of earlier published reuse and recycling texts.
