Persistent Socio-Territorial Inequalities: A View from Children`s Health

The aim of the study is to illustrate the close association between existential inequalities of resources and vital asymmetries in the province of Corrientes (northeastern Argentina) from 2001 to 2014. It goes to the bibliographic contributions, hospital and epidemiological statistics, interviews with qualified informants. Analysis of economic indicators has shown that with the advance of globalization, the huge regional inequalities have increased and hurt the provinces of NEA and Corrientes, which have enormous problems of adult employment and "uncertain future" the child poverty and the growth of emerging and re-emerging diseases such as síficilis, dengue, yellow fever and lesmanhiasis; among other. Also highly worrisome data is verified, as rising teen pregnancy and high rates of infant mortality.
