Abstract

The contemporary political scene raises the challenge of an increasing political activity exposed to public scrutiny. Simultaneously, this political scene faces depoliticization trends. The need to understand this tension and the requirements of political actors have encouraged the use of mechanisms for predicting and analyzing these scenarios. However, it is only recently that we have begun to understand the scope of the measured object and thus, the multiple dimensions of the relationship between polls and political space. In particular, in many cases the measurement tool seems to have become part of the problem of the opaqueness fenomenon or power inequality. Regulatory issues emerge in times like this. The following article is a brief summary of regulatory mechanisms and discussions around these measurements that have been generated on an international stage in terms of political polls are concerned.
