Posturas políticas como variáveis não observadas: Analizando a confiança institucional na enquete «Problemas, valores, atitudes e prácticas políticas»

As correntes de pensamento que abordam os preditores da confiança institucional e do gobierno geralmente explicam que tanto as boas como as avaliações ruins deste tipo de organizações se devem, em grande medida a sua eficiência ou sua capacidade de gerar beneficios para a população. Embora os estudos reconhecem a existência de outras variáveis idiossincráticas que influem nestas percepções, muitos autores não tem profundizado neste aspecto. Nosso estudo aborda um destes aspectos que os mismos especialistas designam como uma variável exógena na valoração das instituções, quer dizer, a ideologia política. Mediante o uso de um análise fatorial e paralelo pudimos dar conta de três potenciais posturas políticas que descrevem tanto altos como baixos níveis de confiança em diferentes tipos de instituções: i) uma pro-autoridade; ii) um pro-governo e Estado, e iii) pro-instituções do mundo civil. Os resultados do estudo mostram implicâncias sobre como a cultura política em Latinoamérica pode estar fortemente associada a posições ideológicas que a priori determinam como se distribui o favoritismo institucional da população.
