Editorial Guidelines

The editorial process consists of two main phases, designed to ensure the academic quality and originality of the manuscripts published:

First Phase: Editorial Review

Estimated duration: 2-4 weeks

  1. Manuscript Reception:

    • Automatic confirmation of receipt via email.
    • Initial verification of required documents, such as the authorship and originality statement.

  2. Review by Editors:

    • Assessment of the manuscript's alignment with the Scope and Focus of the journal.
    • Verification of compliance with the Author Guidelines.
    • Use of TURNITIN Originality software to check for plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
  3. Initial Editorial Decision:

    • Full compliance: Manuscript moves to the second phase.
    • Minor non-compliance: Corrections will be requested within 10 days.
    • Major non-compliance: Immediate rejection.
    • The final decision is made by the editor-in-chief in consultation with the editors.

Second Phase: Double-Blind Peer Review

Estimated duration: 6-8 weeks

  1. Assignment of Reviewers:

    • Two external specialists are selected based on the manuscript's topic and academic expertise.
    • Anonymity for both authors and reviewers is guaranteed.
  2. Peer Review Evaluation:
    Reviewers evaluate:

    • Relevance to the Scope and Focus of the journal.
    • Originality and significance of the content.
    • Clarity and academic rigor.
    • Proper use and timeliness of references.
    • Reviews must be submitted within 20 days.

  3. Final Decision by the Editorial Committee:
Based on reviewers' reports, the manuscript will be categorized as:

    • Accepted for publication: No changes required.
    • Accepted with revisions: Authors will have 20 days to make and return revisions.
    • Currently inadmissible: The manuscript has academic potential but requires major revisions. Authors may resubmit a revised version as a new submission.
    • Rejected for publication: Specific reasons for rejection will be provided.

  4. Final Processing:

    • Accepted manuscripts, after revisions, will undergo another plagiarism check using TURNITIN Originality before publication.
    • The editorial team ensures all reviewer comments have been adequately addressed.

Additional Considerations

  • Total Process Time: The entire editorial process, from submission to final decision, may take between 8 and 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the revisions.
  • Communication with Authors: Authors will be informed of decisions in a timely manner and may contact the editorial team for clarifications during the process.
  • Review of Revised Versions: Manuscripts returned after the deadline or without fully addressing reviewer comments will be subject to re-deliberation by the Editorial Committee.

This process ensures the scientific, ethical, and academic quality of the published works, adhering to principles of transparency and fairness.
