Regional single window for international trade

The single window for trade is the main trade facilitation measure. Many countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America have launched a single window for border agencies and trade participants. At the same time, the importance is that the trading system is capable of facilitating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, i.e. helping countries gain access to lucrative regional and international markets and contribute to sustainable economic growth, as well as to poverty reduction. As a consequence, it is essential to establish interoperability as information systems can support regional integration, sustainable development and supply chain integration between participating countries through paperless cross-border transactions.
