The analysis of entrepreneurship development between countries is generally carried out from different levels, however, as the international entrepreneurship literature shows, there is a gap in the micro analysis. The methodology used explores the literature and the characteristics of each country, and then randomly selects an entrepreneur from the ICT sector of mobile applications to interview in depth. This paper presents a comparative analysis of entrepreneurship management processes, the differences in ecosystems, and the profile of three cases of entrepreneurs from Japan, Korea and Mexico. Among the results, Japan and Korea make a considerable effort in the elaboration of public policies focused on promoting entrepreneurs; while, in Mexico, the institutional effort is incipient. Regarding the profiles, the work experience impacts more to have clarity in the business idea, than in the discovery of the opportunity. In general, in the cases of Mexico and Korea, the entrepreneurial profiles are fulfilled, while for Japan it is different, given the personal circumstances. Regarding the analysis of the characteristics of entrepreneurs, it is essential to determine the impact of public policies to promote entrepreneurship, but also the effect that issues such as education, institutional environment, entrepreneurial spirit, and culture have on each individual with the intention to start a new company.
