The quality of higher education requires, within its multiple conditions, the follow-up of graduates, since it allows to verify the impact of training and to have elements of feedback in the curricular evaluation. This study proposes an index of employability associated to a model of follow-up to graduates; which was built through a hermeneutic design and applying a content analysis to 55 related documents. In conclusion, the definition of the employability index is achieved as a multidimensional concept. Consisting of elements of training, job insertion and perception of employers, allowing their measurement within a specific context of supply and demand, self-assessment and high-quality accreditation processes are favored quality.
