AI Use

  1. AI Use Declaration:

    • Authors must explicitly declare if AI tools were used during the manuscript preparation (e.g., text/image generation, translation, data analysis).
    • This declaration must include information about which tools were used and how they contributed to the process.
  2. Intellectual Autonomy of the Author:

    • Content generated with AI must be reviewed and complemented by the authors to ensure academic integrity.
    • Authorship of the manuscript belongs solely to the individuals responsible for its intellectual creation. The use of AI does not grant authorship rights to these tools.
  3. Responsibility for Content:

    • Authors are responsible for the accuracy, validity, and originality of all content presented, even if it was partially generated, translated, or assisted by AI.
    • The use of AI does not exempt authors from adhering to the ethical and scientific standards of the journal, including the obligation to avoid plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
  4. Prohibitions:

    • Manuscripts where the use of AI compromises scientific quality, argumentative coherence, or content originality will not be accepted.
    • The use of AI tools without declaration is strictly prohibited. These tools do not replace the critical reasoning of each author or author, and cannot be used to write papers directly, meaning the publication of articles, sections, or paragraphs without human involvement is not allowed.
  5. Detection of Inappropriate Use:

    • The journal reserves the right to use specialized tools to detect AI-generated content.
    • In the event of identifying inappropriate use, the manuscript will be rejected, and the authors will be notified of the findings.

These policies are subject to updates and aim to ensure responsible and ethical use of AI, promoting its integration as a complementary tool without compromising the academic standards of Revista Culturas Científicas.
