The study focused on describing and interpreting new cleaner production strategies based on sustainability challenges, expressed in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. To do this, an initiative to adapt production systems based on meat production and energy generation was analyzed. The methodological strategy was based on a case study from the southwest of Buenos Aires. The analysis covered from the beginning of the idea of the installation of the biogas plant to the present. The evidence revealed the implications for an agricultural company of entering the renewable energy business through the RenovAr Program and the numerous interactions and interconnections between processes, technologies, actors and institutions that the initiative mobilizes. In the light of the bioeconomy, the new farm-industry-community articulations that emerge from this transformation are discovered. The work showed a movement of circularization of the processes, which are resignified beyond a productive vision, and which offer new opportunities for innovation associated with biological technologies, with dynamic effects for the territory, the aggregation of value and generation of employment of quality.
