Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine how producers associated with Fairtrade-certified organizations in Brazil perceive the effects of certification on the hybrid operations of their enterprises. A quantitative exploratory-descriptive approach was employed to analyze the data gathered through a specifically designed survey targeting producers, cooperatives, and members from different organizations. The main findings indicate that fairtrade has acted within hybrid organizations as a mediator of their distinct dimensions, with significant results, enabling the development of their economic, social, and environmental logics. This study makes significant progress by proposing a vital methodological instrument for comprehending the diverse facets through which associations and cooperatives operate, in tandem with the imperative to foster simultaneous development of their hybrid projects.
