History

The Culturas Científicas journal is an online scientific publication established in 2018 under the Department of Philosophy at the University of Santiago de Chile. In line with our evaluation policy, all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. We are an open-access journal, as reflected in our open-access policy.

Our journal aims to meet the growing demand for research on science, techniques, technologies, and their processes, addressing these topics interdisciplinarily and in an international context.

We maintain a permanently open General Call for Papers. The topics accepted by the journal include, but are not limited to, meta-scientific studies such as:

  1. General philosophy of science and philosophy of specialized sciences
  2. History of science
  3. Philosophy and history of technology
  4. Research on logical, didactic, legal, economic, ethical, sociological, or anthropological aspects of science
  5. Studies on science, technology, and society (STS)
