About the Journal
RIVAR is a multidisciplinary journal that is born from the intersection between agricultural sciences and social ciencies, and humanities. It is focused on agri-food heritage, viticulture, agriculture, agro-industry and its landscapes; gastronomy, food cultures and arts, from its production to consumption. Our journal was born and supported by the tradition of Ibero-American Seminar held for the firts time in Universidad de Talca, Chile, in 1997.
RIVAR is a quarterly journal (January, May and September) that publishes contributions in Spanish, Portugues and English. It is a scientific publication sponsored and financed by the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, a non-profit public institution. The administration of electronic academic journals is in charge of the Directorate of Cientific and Technological Research (DICYT) of the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research, Innovation and Creation (VRIIC) of the university.
