Abstract

In this second issue of 2026 (No. 56), we greet our entire community of readers of the electronic journal *Gestión de las Personas y Tecnología* (People Management and Technology)—an academic project of the Department of Management Technologies within the Faculty of Technology at the University of Santiago, Chile. The journal has reached its 17th year, moving forward to meet new challenges and consolidating its work at both national and international levels.
In this issue, we would like to remind you that, as part of its 2024 improvement plan, the journal has updated the areas and sub-areas for article publication. Following a thorough review and consultation with experts in its key fields of interest, *GPT* has determined that all articles received on or after October 1, 2024, must fall under one of the following areas and sub-areas:

I. People Management: traditional subsystems (training, well-being, quality of life, compensation, performance evaluation, etc.), labor relations, higher education and workforce training, gender perspectives in organizations, and the socio-anthropology of work and organizations; and
II. Technology: innovation management, technology management, the digital divide and its impact on people and work, the social construction of technology, technological advances and their impact on organizational management, digital transformation processes, and Industry 4.0 and its integration into organizational processes.
