History

Palimpsesto. Revista Científica de Estudios Sociales Iberoamericanos was founded in 2004 under the auspices of the Department of History at the University of Santiago, Chile, with the aim of creating a space for dissemination, discussion, and critique of its own historiographical constructions, as well as incorporating the contributions of other academics and intellectuals into an open dialogue. Starting in 2016, Palimpsesto transitioned to a digital format, making its content available to the academic community and the general public. At the same time, the journal ceased to be part of the Department of History and is now coordinated by the Faculty of Humanities, expanding its content and incorporating a multidisciplinary perspective that reflects the diverse perspectives and approaches regarding Chile and Ibero-America
