The objective of this proposal is to implement the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) methodology in rural schools in the province of Chiloé. This methodology is considered an innovative and effective strategy to promote learning and the development of key competences in students. The proposal is based on the positive results of motivation and commitment that the implementation of the STEAM methodology has produced in rural educational environments. Through practical and interdisciplinary activities, it seeks to prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century, fostering skills such as creativity, critical thinking and collaboration. The implementation of this methodology requires the support and active participation of teachers, as well as inter-institutional collaboration between different educational actors. In this way, it is expected to lay the foundations for meaningful and lasting learning, contributing to technological development and educational equity in the region. This proposal represents a valuable opportunity to enhance the integral development of students in rural schools in Chiloé, reducing educational gaps and strengthening the necessary competencies to face the challenges of the contemporary world.
