Abstract

The internationalization of higher education is a problem that has been installed for several years and is still under study today. One of the strategies and actions that have been traditionally applied to internationalize higher education is student mobility. This is a worldwide phenomenon whose origin goes back to the fifteenth century; however, it has been in the last decades when it has begun to be considered as one of the most notorious facets in the internationalization processes of higher education (Theiler, 2005; Luchilo, 2007). In this context, the present work aims to expand knowledge regarding the development of mobility in Latin American countries, comparing the factors associated with the reception of international undergraduate students from two universities in the province of Buenos Aires: the National University of South and the University of the Center.
