The practice of dairy farms expands throughout the planet; part of the world population is linked to associative forms in search of collaboration. Among the most consumed products at the international level, we find milk and its derivatives, of great importance in the construction of an emerging paradigm in food sovereignty. The purpose of the following study is the livestock sector, specifically focused on the valorization of milk production in Nova Scotia (Canada) and Cienfuegos (Cuba) focusing on the activities of cooperatives that are dedicated to dairy activities. The result of this research will answer the following question: How to strengthen the revaluation of milk production in the cooperatives of each territory? and this research will help formulate local policies to promote milk production. An exchange of experiences and procedures was taken into account, given the relationship that has traditionally existed between Canada and Cuba, in the livestock sector. The study of these two regions manages to identify economic and social actors, allowing to find points of strength that allow one territory to learn from the other.
