Transición conceptual de la seguridad alimentaria: Paradigmas, estado actual y desafíos

La seguridad alimentaria es un tema de relevancia global debido a su impacto en el bienestar humano. El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar la construcción conceptual de la seguridad alimentaria desde los diversos paradigmas que le han dado significado a lo largo del tiempo, identificando su estado actual y sus desafíos futuros, a través de una revisión de literatura. Los resultados muestran cinco paradigmas dominantes que influyen en su concepción. Además, se reconoce que, a pesar de ser un concepto multidimensional, sigue predominando un enfoque productivista. En respuesta a estas limitaciones, han surgido enfoques alternativos como la soberanía alimentaria. También se identifican desafíos contemporáneos como la desigualdad en la distribución de alimentos, la crisis climática y la necesidad de sistemas agroalimentarios sustentables.
