					View No. 28 (2018)

The first publication corresponding to 2018 presents a heterogeneous analysis of the concept of “Communal Worlds”. A generalized reflection is carried out on the crisis of the humanist paradigm, approached through different approaches and methodologies. The included texts and images propose new ways of living and coexisting in contemporary culture, which generates an impossibility of processing accelerated globalization. Within the framework of this aforementioned crisis, the texts present new alternatives of thought and experience: the value of landscape and animality as constitutive dimensions of life and the human; the legitimation of memory as a sensitive community fabric that displaces the supremacy of history. It also stands out in terms of materiality, which is summed up on a purely discursive level of expression; the value of artistic research with its sensitive knowledge that displaces the idea of scientific truth. Along with these points of view, the possibility of building communities based on national and regional logics is also proposed, together with transidiomatic resistance as alternatives to the current national paradigm in art, literature and politics. The publication ends with a review of Essays on Silence. Gestures, maps and colors, by Marcela Labraña, whose methodology, more than establishing a central hypothesis, chooses to compare different artistic manifestations and seek further connections between their historical affinities.
