Abstract

A hundred years of Santiago's Journalists Circle are celebrated at 2007. It's the oldest chilean journalists' organization, an it has been the main promotor of professional university – backed journalist formation since 1953. The celebration of this 100 years let us see great changes in the professional exercise; since the beginnings of the past century until nowadays. Always inmersed in a ever changing world, plenty of violent changes either cultural or technological, Cue've come a long way from the early 1900's days of bohemian reporters until nowadays' mass media industry. Today, we see diversified responsibilities, sicills, and journalists' abilities that call for new challenges that demand continuous improvement.
