  • Árboles y Rizomas

    Árboles y Rizomas is an academic, open access, peer reviewed journal that offers room for discussion regarding research in Literature and Linguistics Studies. Manuscripts having a focus on language either as poetic expressions and/or as language-in-use in various genres are welcome. The journal’s objectives are to encourage, disseminate and contribute to the advancement of studies in literature and linguistics and their varied convergence zones. Arboles y Rizomas publishes contributions in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

    La Revista Arteoficio es una publicación editada por la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Nace  el año 2000 a partir de la necesidad de difundir nuestro quehacer académico y la inquietud de crear un lugar de reflexión sobre la enseñanza de la arquitectura y el urbanismo en particular y la técnica y el arte en general.

  • Culturas Científicas

    Culturas Científicas, published biannually and with a permanently open call for papers, is edited by the Department of Philosophy of the University of Santiago de Chile. The journal is destined to the publication of manuscripts oriented towards sciences and technologies, be they old, modern, or contemporary. We publish articles that contribute to the discussion about sciences, techniques and technologies from sociological, philosophical, political, epistemological, historical, logical, economic, legal, didactic, anthropological, and ethical perspectives. 

  • Estudios Avanzados

    Revista Estudios Avanzados (EstuDAv) is a scientific journal (peer-rewieved) published twice a year (June and December) by the Instituto de Estudios Avanzados (IDEA) of Universidad de Santiago de Chile, founded in 1849, with a long tradition in Arts and Crafts. Their publications have full open access online by Open Journal source, in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

    Since 1999, is our goal has been to spread brand new results on Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences investigations, specially focused on interdisciplinary approaches, where social, political, art, and philosophical discussions could converge, preferably from a global south perspective.

  • Palimpsesto

    Palimpsesto. Chilean Journal of Gender Studies

    Palimpsesto is a biannual publication of multidisciplinary character of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Santiago de Chile that was born in the year 2004 in the Department of History of the USACH. From the year 2015 begins a second period attached to the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Santiago, becoming a space for the dissemination of studies focused on Chile and Ibero-America, addressing problems of social, political, historical and cultural interest. After a process of reflection and internal evaluation of the local and regional environment, the journal decided to turn its objectives and scope towards the promotion and dissemination of knowledge production in the field of Gender Studies and its intersections with other critical fields of social sciences and humanities.


    In this context, we announce that as of 2/2025 (Volume 15, No. 26), Palimpsesto will only publish works related to this field of studies, it will maintain its character as a biannual, open access journal, and its articles will continue to be peer reviewed under the “double blind” scheme. It will receive contributions in Spanish and Portuguese.

  • Public Policies

    The journal Public Policies presents articles that provide political, economic, sociological or legal analysis of public policies or dimensions of the public sphere. The Public Policies Journal aims to stimulate the cross fertilization of ideas among diverse disciplines, offer an accessible source on their state of the art and suggest new research orientations. The articles are submitted to a double blind review system by peer reviewers external to the Center for Development Policies.

    The journal Public Policies is part of the interdisciplinary activity of the Center for Development Policies and the Master in Management and Public Policies of the Faculty of Administration and Economics of the University of Santiago de Chile.

    Public Policy is published biannually in months of January and July each year.

  • Re-presentaciones: Periodismo, comunicación y sociedad

    Re-presentaciones journal is the main vehicle for academical and research disseminating of the School of Journalism of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Re-presentaciones is a biannual publication, oriented to the promotion and diffusion of the knowledge that the researchers, academics and students have produced. The journal starts a new period boosting research development in the Journalism and Communication fields of study, from a wide variety of theoretical, epistemological and thematic approaches. Re-presentaciones puts a special emphasis on reflexive perspectives that address the current issues with thoroughness, creativity, and critical thinking.

  • Revista de Historia Social y de las Mentalidades

    Revista de Historia Social y de las Mentalidades (RHSM) is a biannual peer-reviewed publication from the Department of History of Universidad de Santiago de Chile. The journal is open to all academic contributions that address historical political, economic, social, and cultural phenomena using different analysis tools from the humanities and social sciences. RHSM provides open online access to its full contents and assumes the costs of processing the contributions it propagates.

  • People and Technology Management Journal

    People and Technology Management (Gestión de las Personas y Tecnología) is an electronic journal created for the publication of original articles, as essays or research papers -related to people and technology management -mainly written in Latin America and the Hispanic world.

  • Revista Universidad y Territorio

    Universidad y Territorio is a biannual, open-access publication that disseminates and promotes original knowledge about the academic works of Public Engagement and University Extension.
  • RIVAR

    Is a multidisciplinary journal, born from the intersection between agricultural sciences, social sciences and humanities. It is focused on agri-food heritage, viticulture, agriculture, agro-industry, gastronomy, food cultures (art and culture) and their landscapes, from production to consumption.
