Open Access

Culturas Científicas seeks to be a space for discussion and open dialogue between specialists from various areas, which is why we maintain an open access policy. In accordance with the above, the following is declared:

• The journal does not charge any type of fees to its authors, neither for sending nor for processing nor for the publication of their contributions. 

• The journal does not charge its readers in any way, neither for subscriptions to newsletters nor for access to the materials published on its page.

• The Department of Philosophy of the University of Santiago de Chile is responsible for the maintenance costs of the journal. Its objective is that these costs are not transferred in any way to our authors or readers.

• In line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative, our journal allows any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of our articles, crawl them for indexing, and transmit them as data to software without financial, legal, or technical barriers. The foregoing as long as its use is for lawful purposes and an appropriate acknowledgment of authorship is made.

In turn, all copyrights of the publications are maintained by their respective authors and are under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which the authors accept when submitting their proposals as indicated in our Copyright Policy. This means that the published contribution may be shared and adapted—even commercially—as long as proper credit is given and no endorsement by the author (i.e. licensor) is implied. With this we seek to make the published material available to the community, following the objective of nurturing international discussion and the growth of knowledge in the areas related to our Aims & Scope.
