Re-presentaciones. Periodismo, comunicación y sociedad is a scientific publication sponsored and funded by the University of Santiago of Chile, a public, non-profit institution of higher education. The administration of the electronic academic journals is managed by the Directorate of Scientific and Technological Research (DICYT) of the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation, and Creation (VRIIC) of the University.

As part of the institutional policy, the journal does not charge its authors for manuscript processing (APC).
