Digital preservartion

Revista Geoingeniería will develop its digital preservation policy within the framework of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile Journals Portal and the tools available in Open Journal Systems.

Published content will be preserved through mechanisms designed to ensure its long-term availability, integrity and recoverability. OJS is integrated with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), an infrastructure based on the LOCKSS distributed preservation model, which maintains permanent copies of content for the purposes of preservation and, if necessary, restoration.

This policy seeks to guarantee continued access to the journal’s scientific content in the event of technological contingencies or changes in hosting platforms.
